Ropley CofE Primary School is located in the village of Ropley in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. The school is one of the feeder schools from Perins School, which both obtain high standards.〔(Ropley school exam results )〕 ==History== The school has a long history; it was first founded in 1826 by local Reverend Samuel Maddock,〔(Maddock of Ropley )〕 who built the school on a previous site on Petersfield Road. William Faichen was the co-founder of the school, in which he became the first Headmaster.〔(William Faichen the first headmaster )〕 There was already another school in Ropley, the first one was located in present day Four Marks (originally called 'Ropley Street').〔(Ropley former parish history )〕 Maddock thought that it was too much of a struggle for young children to walk a long distance every day, so he built another school in the centre of the village. When the other school was demolished in the mid 1800s, Maddock's school became the only remaining school in the area. In 1869, the school burned down in a fire. Thus the site moved to the present day site at Church Street and reopened the same year.〔(Open document for details )〕 Since then, the school has remained open and unchanged. The school values its historic links with the community some of whom remember being taught in the original Victorian buildings. These traditional flint and brick buildings now form the hall and the school kitchen. The main teaching area consists of six modern classrooms with shared corridor working spaces. The most recent classroom was built in 2001 and is specially equipped for Early Years children.〔(Open document for details )〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Ropley Church of England Primary School」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
